Student Absences, Late Arrivals or Early Departures

Please contact the school prior to any planned absences. Where this is not possible, parents must provide the reason for any absences prior to 08:50 on the day of absence.

Provide a written note (signed and dated) from a parent/guardian explaining the student's lateness.

Provide a written note (signed and dated) to student services should the student require a Leave Pass to leave school early.  A parent/guardian must be present to collect the student.

Provide a medical certificate for absences over 3 days.


Communication Options for Daily Absences/Late Notifications​​

SMS: Please send an SMS to +61 426 305 848 (SMS ONLY this number will not accept calls) with your student's details and the reason for absence. You may receive a reply later during the day if further information is required.

Email: Please email attendance@pimpamassc.eq.edu.au with your student's details and the reason for absence. You may receive a reply later during the day if further information is required.​

Written Note: Students must present to Student Services when arriving late to school. Please refer to class times for punctuality.​​​​​​​​

Alternatively, please reply to the absentee SMS that is sent out by the school on the day of absence.


Departures​​

If you​ are DEPARTING the College, please follow instructions below:​​

  • ​Notify the school via email (attendance@pimpamassc.eq.edu.au​) or by phoning 07 5540 9333 option 4
  • Complete and email the Departure and Refund forms (below) to attendance@pimpamassc.eq.edu.au or drop them into our College Reception
  • If you have a school laptop, bring it into the school for decommissioning.
  • If you have a BYO device, refer to the following page on the College website for instructions on how to unenroll your device. https://pimpamassc.eq.edu.au/curriculum/bring-your-own-device/device-decommissioning
  • If you have any textbooks or other resources please return them
  • Provide a forwarding address and USI number if you are expecting any documentation/certificates/photos from PSSC
  • Many students are entitled to a refund. If a refund is due, this will be deposited into the bank account you have provided on the departure form. (fee holder)


Update Contact Details​

Advise the school of any change of address or phone number to ensure school records are accurate. Up to date information is critical in an emergency.

​Exemptions​​

If your child is going to be absent for an extended period of time (10+ consecutive school days), please see the Exemption Information document below and complete the Exemption Form.
