It is a great privilege to be the foundation Principal of this fantastic
school, which for many years has been the fastest growing school in Queensland.
In
2019, we completed the final stage of our master build that realised the $100
million investment into the secondary education of children in this community.
The construction of our state of the art performing arts centre, our student
wellbeing hub and our creative industries centre with facilities for visual
arts, hospitality and industrial technology added to the already impressive list
of resources our students access during their secondary education. Apart from
the buildings themselves the resources and technology we have in our school is
state of the art, providing real world learning opportunities.
The modern workforce
places increasing demands on potential employees for skills such as analytical
thinking, innovation, digital literacy, creativity and complex problem solving.
These are the skills that will provide the competitive advantage for young people
entering the 21st century global economy. At Pimpama State Secondary
College we fervently believe in our mission of 21st century learning and
believe that these skills will ensure our students have successful lives in an
increasingly uncertain and challenging world. Our commitment to the development
of young people with the skills to inspire, innovate, shape and define their
future has seen the college gain national recognition for innovation.
Pimpama State
Secondary College is an exciting place to work with highly dedicated and
professional staff, incredibly talented and enthusiastic students and a
passionate and supportive community. As College Principal I continue to be
inspired by the commitment and support of our community and the dedication of our
staff as we continue to work together to provide a world class 21st century
education for the young people in our community.
Above all else, I am
committed to providing a school environment where our students can engage in
learning in a culture that is inclusive, caring and safe. Our investment
in the wellbeing of our students and our commitment to ensuring an inclusive
culture is embedded in all aspects of school life
will ensure your child, regardless of their abilities, will learn in a world-class
education environment.
