Bring Your Own Device

BYOD Information 2021 - Year 7

Pimpama State Secondary College will be supporting the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) Apple iPad Program for only Year 7 students in 2021.

The intention of the college is to expand this initiative to Year 9, with each Year 7 student working with iPads until Year 9. The rollout of this initiative will commence with Year 7 only in 2021. Currently due to the senior curriculum requiring more advanced and complex programs, laptops will be required from Year 10 through to Year 12. This will be reviewed annually.

All Year 7 students will be required to supply an iPad as standard school equipment through the BYOD program. Laptops will not be suitable or supported in this year level for 2021.
