Impacts to school bus services on Wednesday 16 August 2023
As part of protected industrial action across South East Queensland by the Transport Workers' Union there will be a 24-hour work stoppage impacting Kinetic bus services on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Tweed from 4.05am Wednesday 16 August 2023 to 4.05am Thursday 17 August 2023.
We will again endeavour to run as many school buses as possible to ensure student safety and regret the impact this will have on your school community.
Kinetic has requested assistance from the TWU to ensure school services are not disrupted due to this action however some impacts may occur.
Significant impacts to all other services will occur and students, parents, and staff should be advised that if they currently take a public bus service, they will need to make alternative arrangements on the day.
We encourage passengers to make alternative transport arrangements where possible or allow extra time for their journey. Please also be patient and respect our team members who are working on the day.
